Bio
Recruited from local side Richmond Citizens, Bob Brownhill arrived at Punt Road with significant junior pedigree, having captained the Victorian Under-19 team. The half-back flanker spent several seasons pressing his claims in the reserves, finally breaking through for four senior appearances during the 1963 season. Unable to command a regular spot in the Tigers' lineup, he left the VFL to play for Myrtleford before finding his niche in the VFA. Brownhill eventually became a stalwart at Port Melbourne, where he tasted the ultimate success as a member of the Borough's 1966 premiership side.
