Bio
Recruited from Williamstown, Bob Cameron holds a permanent place in history as a member of Carlton's inaugural VFL team. He debuted in the opening round of the 1897 season against Fitzroy at the Brunswick Street Oval, operating primarily as a follower who could drift forward. Cameron was a consistent selection during that foundation year, missing only three matches, but his time at Princes Park proved fleeting. Following the conclusion of the season, he departed the Blues to return to Williamstown in the VFA, ending his brief VFL career as a pioneer of the competition.
