Bio
Recruited from Heidelberg in the Diamond Valley Football League, Bob Greve established himself as a reliable wingman for Collingwood during the late 1950s. Although his VFL career was relatively brief, spanning just five seasons, he secured a permanent place in Magpie folklore as a member of the famous 1958 premiership side that denied Melbourne a fourth consecutive flag. Greve was a consistent contributor who balanced defensive accountability with an ability to drift forward and hit the scoreboard, playing a career-high 18 games during the club's premiership run. He departed Victoria Park following the 1959 season at just 25 years of age to accept a captain-coaching role with McKinnon in the Federal League.
