Bio
Originally from Launceston, Bob Lynch arrived at Fitzroy via the Melbourne reserves, where he had been a standout performer unable to crack the Demons' senior lineup during their golden era. A ball-winning centreman, Lynch was immediately thrown into the fray at Brunswick Street, playing the first nine games of the 1965 season in succession. However, his disposal efficiency proved to be his undoing at the top level; he was demoted to the reserves to work on his kicking and was ultimately delisted without adding to his tally. Lynch found greater success upon returning to Tasmania, forging a strong career with New Norfolk and eventually earning state selection for the 1969 Adelaide Carnival.
