Bio
Recruited from Williamstown in the VFA, Bob Monar arrived at the Junction Oval ahead of the 1910 season to bolster a St Kilda lineup that was struggling to make an impact on the competition. He slotted immediately into the senior side, playing 11 games in his debut year and chipping in with three goals as a useful rotation option. Despite showing early promise as a regular fixture in the team, his VFL career proved short-lived; Monar managed just a solitary appearance in the opening round of the 1911 season before losing his spot in the side, ultimately departing the League scene with 12 games to his name.
