Stats
Bio
Recruited from Parkside, Bob Moore was a significant contributor to Melbourne during the VFA era whose transition to the VFL was severely hampered by injury. After accumulating nearly 60 appearances in the Association between 1892 and 1896, Moore was sidelined for the entirety of the historic 1897 inaugural league season as he battled persistent leg problems. He eventually forced his way back into the lineup for the opening of the 1898 campaign, adding two senior VFL caps to his record, but the long-standing injury proved too difficult to manage. Moore retired midway through that season, leaving the game as a transition-era figure whose on-field impact was curtailed just as the competition professionalised.
