Bio
Bob Munn was a serviceable forward who plied his trade for South Melbourne during a particularly lean era for the club in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Making his senior debut as a 19-year-old against Footscray at the Western Oval in Round 5, 1959, he donned the number 44 guernsey and quickly established himself as a depth player capable of hitting the scoreboard. While never a permanent fixture in the star-studded VFL limelight, Munn was a handy avenues-to-goal option, booting 29 majors over his five-season tenure at the Lakeside Oval. He played his final game in 1963 against Carlton, concluding his career with 41 games for the Bloods as a hard-working rotation player who helped carry the load during a difficult period for the franchise.
