Bio
Recruited from Horsham in the Wimmera, Bob Norman was a forward who showed early promise upon breaking into the Collingwood side in 1957. He managed to hold a place in the seniors for the majority of his debut season, offering a reliable avenue to goal, but his tenure at Victoria Park was surprisingly brief. After a four-year hiatus from the VFL, Norman was handed a second chance by Geelong in 1961, where he returned to the top level to add depth to the Cats' attacking division. A capable mark and finisher who averaged nearly a goal a game across his fragmented career, his time in the league ultimately concluded after a single season at Kardinia Park.
