Bio
Recruited from the amateur ranks at University Blues, Bob Rees was a lightly built utility capable of playing as a wingman, half-forward, or rover. He broke into the Richmond senior side midway through the 1959 season, making his debut against Hawthorn and managing six appearances in his solitary year at Punt Road. A talented dual sportsman who also played District Cricket, Rees was unable to consolidate a permanent spot in the Tigers' lineup and transferred to St Kilda the following year, where he played exclusively in the reserves. He eventually concluded his football tenure with a stint at Caulfield in the VFA, balancing his sporting commitments with a professional career in agriculture and economics.
