Bio
Recruited from Camberwell Juniors, Bob Weatherill emerged as a key structural pillar for Richmond during the club's first dominant VFL era. A centre-half forward who played alongside his brothers Harry and George at Punt Road, Weatherill was a deceptively strong mark for his slender build, renowned for his capacity to stand his ground in heavy packs and control the air. He was a central figure in the Tigers' historic back-to-back premiership victories in 1920 and 1921, a period of excellence that also saw him represent Victoria. Weatherill concluded his VFL service to pursue a captain-coaching role with Coburg in the association, later holding the distinction of being the league's oldest living premiership player prior to his passing in 1992.
