Bio
Recruited from the North Ballarat Rebels, Brad Cassidy holds the rare distinction of being listed by three different AFL clubs in three consecutive seasons during the turbulent mid-90s era. He began his journey as an inaugural squad member for Fremantle in 1995 but failed to break into the senior side, leading to his recruitment by Fitzroy for the 1996 season. A versatile utility who could operate as a lead-up forward, Cassidy played his best football with the Lions, booting 10 goals in 14 games as the cash-strapped club limped through its final year of existence. Following the merger, he was thrown a lifeline by Collingwood in the national draft but managed just two appearances for the Magpies before his AFL career concluded, leaving him as a unique footnote in the league's expansion and consolidation history.
