Bio
Recruited from West Adelaide with pick 47 in the 2010 National Draft, Brad Helbig was a hard-edged utility who arrived at Richmond with a reputation for his aggression and contested work rate. He made an immediate impact by debuting in the season opener of his rookie year, yet he found it difficult to cement a permanent position in the senior lineup as the Tigers began their ascent up the ladder. His time at Punt Road was hampered by a series of frustrating injuries and inconsistent form, limiting him to sporadic appearances across half-back and the midfield. Unable to break into the best 22 regularly, Helbig was delisted at the end of the 2014 season after 16 games and returned to South Australia to continue his career in the SANFL.
