Stats
Bio
Recruited from the Calder Cannons with pick 33 in the 2002 National Draft, Brad Murphy was a talented mid-sized utility capable of playing as a lead-up forward or pushing onto a wing. Standing 189cm, he possessed natural class and goal sense, showing immediate promise upon his 2004 debut where he looked comfortable at the top level. However, Murphy struggled to cement a regular spot in the senior lineup during a transitional era for the Bulldogs, often dominating for VFL affiliate Werribee but finding himself squeezed out of the senior 22 by the club's emerging young midfielders. Delisted at the end of 2006 after four seasons and seven games, he later carved out a respected tenure in local football, captain-coaching Hoppers Crossing in the WRFL and leading Melton in the Ballarat Football League.
