Bio
Recruited from the Eastern Ranges with pick 33 in the 1993 Pre-Season Draft, Brad Nicholson was a sturdy defender who patrolled the back pocket and full-back lines during a transitional era for the club. He showed immediate promise in his debut season, earning an AFL Rising Star nomination after a standout performance against West Coast in just his fourth senior game. Despite this bright start, Nicholson found it difficult to cement a permanent position in the defensive unit, often finding himself on the fringe of selection. He enjoyed his most consistent campaign in 1995 with 16 appearances, utilising his strong frame to lock down opposition forwards, but after managing only five games the following year, he was delisted at the end of the 1996 season.
