Bio
A product of the Gold Coast Suns Academy, Brad Scheer entered the AFL via the 2016 National Draft with a reputation as a physically ready inside midfielder who thrived on contested possession. He showed early flashes of his potential in his debut season, most memorably kicking a pivotal goal from the boundary line against West Coast in 2017 to help the Suns secure a tight victory. However, despite his clean hands and ability to win the hard ball, Scheer struggled to transition his dominance from junior football to the senior level, often finding himself on the fringe of selection due to pace and endurance concerns. Unable to cement a regular spot in the Gold Coast engine room, he managed just 13 games over three active seasons before being delisted, eventually continuing his career at state league level with Southport.
