Bio
Recruited from Subiaco with pick 32 in the 2017 National Draft, Brayden Ainsworth was an industrious midfielder recognised for his elite endurance and accumulation ability. Although he made his debut in 2018, he struggled to cement a permanent spot within West Coast's premiership-standard engine room, spending significant time in the WAFL or playing as a run-with specialist when called upon. His most consistent run came during the 2020 hub season, but he was ultimately delisted following the 2021 campaign due to a lack of senior opportunities. Ainsworth made a singular, unexpected return to the Eagles' lineup in round two of 2022 as a COVID-19 contingency top-up player while contracted to WAFL club Perth, concluding his AFL tenure as a depth midfielder who provided vital cover during a turbulent period for the club.
