Bio
Drafted by Collingwood as a surprise selection with pick 32 in the 2015 National Draft, Brayden Sier was a powerful inside midfielder who rose from obscurity to become a cult figure at the club. After spending his first two seasons developing in the VFL, the Marcellin College product broke into the senior side late in the 2018 season, where his contested ball-winning ability and clean hands proved crucial during the Magpies' charge to the Grand Final. Despite drawing comparisons to elite big-bodied on-ballers during that breakout campaign, Sier struggled to replicate that form in subsequent years, hampered by soft-tissue injuries and scrutiny regarding his preparation standards. Unable to cement a regular spot in the midfield rotation after the 2018 season, he played sporadically over the next three years before being delisted at the end of 2021.
