Bio
Recruited from the Dandenong Stingrays with pick 38 in the 1998 National Draft, Brendan Fevola evolved into one of the most potent and charismatic full-forwards of the modern era. Possessing a booming right boot, vice-like hands on the lead, and innate goal sense, he became the undisputed focal point of the Carlton forward line during a lean competitive period for the club. His individual brilliance was highlighted by two Coleman Medals and three All-Australian selections, often playing a lone hand in attack while providing immense entertainment value for supporters.
Despite his on-field dominance, Fevola's time at the elite level was frequently complicated by disciplinary issues. Following a high-profile incident at the 2009 Brownlow Medal count, the Blues traded their leading goalkicker to the Brisbane Lions in a blockbuster deal that sent Lachie Henderson to Princes Park. Although Fevola started his tenure in Queensland strongly, persistent off-field indiscretions led to the Lions terminating his contract prior to the 2011 season. His AFL career concluded prematurely, cementing his status as a prodigious talent whose substantial on-field achievements were ultimately curtailed by his volatile nature.
