Bio
Recruited from the strong Eastern Football League club Boronia, Brendan Mutimer was a versatile utility who earned his opportunity at North Melbourne in the mid-1980s. Standing 182cm, he possessed the height and mobility to play as a flanker or wingman, breaking into the senior side under coach Barry Cable during the 1984 season. He managed seven senior appearances and booted three goals in his debut year, playing alongside club icons like Keith Greig and Wayne Schimmelbusch in a highly competitive lineup. Unable to cement a regular spot in the starting 22 the following season, Mutimer departed Arden Street after a brief but respectable stint at the highest level to return to local football.
