Stats
Bio
Recruited from Myrtleford, Brendan Ryan was a tall forward capable of impactful bursts of scoring who played his best football during a brief window in the mid-1980s. After making his debut for North Melbourne in 1983 and missing the entire 1984 season, he returned to the senior side in 1985 with immediate effect, booting five goals against Melbourne and four against Essendon in consecutive weeks. Despite this promising run of form, he was unable to hold a regular spot in the Kangaroos' lineup the following year and crossed to Fitzroy in a mid-season move during 1986. He managed just a solitary senior appearance for the Lions—a victory over Carlton at Waverley Park—before his VFL career concluded.
