Bio
Recruited from South Fremantle with pick 45 in the 2011 National Draft, Brendon Ah Chee is the older brother of fellow AFL player Callum. His early career at Port Adelaide was characterized by a struggle for continuity; although he demonstrated clean hands at stoppages and an impressive vertical leap, he found it difficult to cement a spot in the Power's midfield rotation, often serving as a depth player over six seasons. Seeking greater regular opportunity and a return to his home state, Ah Chee requested a trade to West Coast ahead of the 2018 season. At the Eagles, he reinvented himself as a high-pressure defensive forward and utility who could pinch-hit in the middle, using his athleticism to challenge opposition interceptors. After being delisted and re-rookied to extend his career into 2021, he departed the AFL system having proven himself a versatile contributor across two clubs.
