Stats
Bio
Recruited from Werribee in the VFA, Brenton Vilcins was a tall utility who earned his opportunity at the highest level with Footscray in the late 1980s. Standing at 191cm, he offered height and versatility to Mick Malthouse's squad, primarily operating as a key position prospect during his eight senior appearances across the 1987 and 1988 seasons. Despite his size and potential, Vilcins was unable to secure a regular spot in the Bulldogs' defensive rotation and was delisted at the end of his second season without registering a goal. He went on to forge a distinguished career in country football, notably captain-coaching Leeton in the Riverina Football League and claiming a best and fairest with Cobram in the early 1990s.
