Bio
A prolific mature-age recruit, Brett Eddy finally earned his shot at the elite level when Port Adelaide selected him in the 2017 Rookie Draft following years of dominance in the SANFL with South Adelaide. A traditional lead-up full-forward renowned for his strong marking and accuracy in front of goal, the 27-year-old Ken Farmer Medallist debuted in Round 1, 2017 against Sydney. Despite his reputation as a goal-kicking machine at state level, Eddy found opportunities scarce in the Power's senior lineup, playing just three games before being omitted as the club favoured other structural options. Unable to secure a permanent spot in the forward 50, he was delisted at the end of the season, marking a short-lived AFL career for one of the state leagues' most consistent scorers.
