Bio
Hailing from the Riverina town of Berrigan, Brian Chisholm was a tall and robust recruit who ventured to the VFL to join South Melbourne in 1960. A talented all-round sportsman, he managed 12 senior appearances in the red and white during a single-season stint, notably sharing the club's list with his younger brother Bob. While his time at the elite level was brief, Chisholm returned to the bush to forge a monumental legacy in the Murray Football League, playing over 200 games for the Berrigan Saints and serving the club for decades as a president, committee member, and groundskeeper—a lifetime of dedication that was posthumously recognised with an Order of Australia Medal.
