Bio
Recruited from local feeder club Braybrook in the Footscray District League, Brian Prior was a tall forward who provided depth for the Bulldogs during the late 1950s. Standing 182cm, he possessed the size to operate as a marking target in attack, managing a respectable return of nine goals from his limited opportunities at senior level. He debuted in 1958, entering the VFL system alongside future club legend John Schultz, but struggled to cement a permanent place in the starting 18 over his three-year tenure. Often operating on the fringe of selection, Prior made sporadic appearances before departing the Western Oval at the conclusion of the 1960 season, leaving the club just one year before Footscray's famous run to the 1961 Grand Final.
