Bio
Recruited from Sturt via the 2008 Rookie Draft, Brodie Martin was a pacey utility who spent eight seasons on Adelaide's list but battled persistent injuries to establish a permanent spot in the senior side. Elevated to the primary list after displaying potential as a line-breaking wingman and defender, his early career was derailed by a serious knee injury that required reconstruction just as he broke into the team. While Martin possessed the speed to carry the ball and link up play, often enjoying spurts of form—most notably during a consistent run in 2014—he struggled to maintain the disposal efficiency and defensive pressure required of a regular AFL footballer. He eventually fell out of favour following the club's coaching transition and was delisted at the end of the 2015 season.
