Bio
Recruited from Warragul in the Gippsland region, Bruce Davidson was a medium-sized utility who made a brief appearance for Footscray during the 1969 VFL season. Standing 179cm, he was brought into the senior side as an 18-year-old for a baptism of fire against Richmond in Round 4, holding his spot for three consecutive matches. While he showed he could find the football—averaging 10 disposals a game, a respectable return for a teenage debutant in that era—he was unable to cement a permanent place in the Bulldogs' lineup. His VFL career was ultimately short-lived, with Davidson departing the Western Oval after just that single season, leaving the top flight as quickly as he arrived.
