Bio
Recruited from Camperdown in Victoria's Western District, Bruce Murray was a tall utility who arrived at Geelong during the club's formidable golden era. Standing 188cm, he struggled to cement a regular spot in a star-studded Cats lineup fresh off back-to-back premierships, managing just eight senior appearances across two seasons at Kardinia Park. After a year out of the VFL in 1955, Murray resurfaced at St Kilda, where he found greater opportunity at the Junction Oval. Used primarily as a key defender who could also drift forward to hit the scoreboard, he played 16 games for the Saints over two years, providing valuable structural depth for a struggling side before concluding his career at the top level.
