Bruno Zorzi

Recruited from the club's own nursery, Bruno Zorzi was a member of the Fitzroy Thirds' 1955 premiership side before graduating to the senior ranks. He broke into the VFL lineup as a teenager in 1957, operating primarily as a defender, but found regular opportunities difficult to come by in a formidable squad that contested finals in 1958 and 1960. Zorzi served as a reliable depth player during this successful era, playing alongside club legends like Kevin Murray and Butch Gale, and earned a recall for a final handful of games in 1960 after struggling to crack the side the previous year. While his time at the top level was brief, his connection to the club endured for decades, with Zorzi becoming a cherished supporter and familiar face at the modern Fitzroy Football Club in the VAFA long after his playing retirement.
