Bio
Recruited as a mature-age prospect from the Port Adelaide Magpies with pick 34 in the 1998 National Draft, Bryan Beinke entered the AFL system as a physically ready forward with a booming right boot. He quickly became a cult figure among Adelaide supporters, who would chant "Woof" in recognition of his powerful kicking style whenever he took possession. Beinke enjoyed a promising debut season in 1999, playing 19 games and providing a dangerous target inside 50, but he found consistency difficult to maintain in the following years as he drifted in and out of the senior lineup. Unable to command a permanent key position spot, he was delisted at the conclusion of the 2002 season and returned to the SANFL, where he continued a decorated career as a captain and leading goalkicker for the Magpies.
