Bio
Recruited from the Perth Football Club in the WAFL, Bryan Cousins was a tenacious rover who crossed the Nullarbor to join Geelong in 1975. He became a consistent contributor at Kardinia Park over five seasons, utilizing his high work rate and skill to impact contests despite his smaller stature. Cousins eventually returned to the WAFL, where he enjoyed a decorated second stint with the Demons that included a retrospective Sandover Medal win for his outstanding 1983 campaign. Although he tallied over 300 senior games across the two state leagues and represented Western Australia, he is most widely recognised by modern fans as the father of West Coast Eagles legend and Brownlow Medallist Ben Cousins.
