Bio
Recruited from Horsham in the Wimmera region, Bryan Pirouet was a sturdy half-back flanker who arrived at Windy Hill via the reserves in 1969. While he was not blessed with blistering pace, a trait that ultimately made it difficult for him to lock down a permanent senior spot, he was a reliable defender who read the play well. His time at Essendon was highlighted by a strong 1970 season where he won the Reserves Best and Fairest award despite spending significant time in the ones, playing 11 of his 14 career games that year. After struggling to break into the senior side in 1971, he crossed to the VFA and found immediate success, playing in Prahran's 1973 premiership team before returning to the country leagues to captain-coach Horsham Imperials and Dalyston.
