Bio
A unique figure in modern recruiting history, Brynn Teakle became the first player to be selected in the Mid-Season Draft on two separate occasions. Hailing from the talent-rich town of Northampton in Western Australia, the athletic 203cm ruckman was originally plucked from East Fremantle by Port Adelaide in mid-2022. His AFL career began in bittersweet fashion, with an impressive debut against Sydney cut short by a broken collarbone after just 35 minutes, and he was eventually delisted by the Power after six appearances. Teakle’s persistence was rewarded in 2024 when, following a train-on stint with Collingwood and strong WAFL form, North Melbourne offered him a second lifeline with pick 15 in the Mid-Season Draft. Utilised as a mobile ruck-forward to support Tristan Xerri, he added 15 games to his tally across two seasons at Arden Street before departing the club at the conclusion of 2025.
