Bio
Recruited from the Sandringham Dragons with pick 59 in the 2016 National Draft, Cameron Polson was an explosive utility whose AFL career was defined by glimpses of raw athletic potential that rarely translated into consistent output. Initially utilised as a high-pressure small forward, Polson was tasked with applying defensive heat inside 50, though he often struggled to accumulate significant possession or impact the scoreboard. In an effort to salvage his career, the Blues trialled him as a dashing half-back late in his tenure to capitalise on his genuine pace and aggressive tackling. Despite these positional experiments, he remained on the fringe of selection throughout his four seasons at Princes Park and was delisted at the conclusion of the 2020 season.
