Bio
Recruited from Woodville-West Torrens with pick 64 in the 2011 National Draft, Cameron Ellis-Yolmen developed a reputation as a powerful, big-bodied midfielder capable of winning contested ball and applying physical pressure around stoppages. Despite his size and utility as an inside clearance winner or run-with player, his eight-season tenure at Adelaide was frustrated by injuries—most notably a torn ACL that erased his 2017 campaign—and difficulty cementing a permanent spot in the Crows' best 22. Seeking a fresh start and regular senior football, he moved to the Brisbane Lions as a free agent following the 2019 season to add depth to a rising midfield unit. He featured regularly during the truncated 2020 season but fell out of favour the following year, with his AFL career ultimately concluding prior to the 2022 season when he was moved to the inactive list due to non-compliance with the league's COVID-19 vaccination policy.
