Bio
Recruited to Richmond via the rookie list, Cameron Howat was selected with pick 54 in the 2006 Rookie Draft and quickly earned promotion to the senior squad. He made his debut in early 2006, operating primarily as a utility capable of playing across half-forward or pushing into the midfield. While noted for his reliable left-foot kicking and composure with the ball, Howat found it difficult to secure a regular spot in the senior 22 under coach Terry Wallace, frequently shuffling between the AFL side and the Coburg Tigers in the VFL. After managing 21 games over three seasons, including a career-high 10 matches in 2007, he was delisted by the club at the conclusion of the 2008 season.
