Bio
Recruited from Norwood with pick 30 in the 2011 Rookie Draft, Cameron Shenton endured a lengthy apprenticeship at St Kilda, spending three full seasons on the rookie list before earning his senior elevation. Originally drafted as a forward, the Saints sought to harness his electric pace and line-breaking ability in the back half, converting him into a rebounding defender capable of taking the game on. He enjoyed his most consistent run in 2014, playing 19 games and establishing himself as a dashing option out of defence under Alan Richardson, but he struggled to maintain that standing in subsequent seasons. Unable to cement a permanent position due to fluctuating form and competition for spots, Shenton managed only a handful of further appearances before being delisted at the conclusion of the 2016 season.
