Stats
Bio
Recruited from County Down as an international rookie, Caolan Mooney arrived at Collingwood with a reputation for blistering speed and raw athleticism. A lightning-quick running forward, Mooney possessed elite pace that allowed him to break lines, though he faced the typical challenges of adapting to the oval ball and the tactical nuances of the AFL. He made his debut in 2012 and showed glimpses of excitement, notably kicking a goal with his first kick, but struggled to cement a spot in the senior side amidst a strong Magpies lineup. After managing just six appearances across three seasons on the list, Mooney departed the club at the end of 2014 to return to Ireland and resume his Gaelic football career with Down.
