Stats
Bio
Recruited from the Murray Bushrangers with the ninth overall selection in the 1999 National Draft, Caydn Beetham arrived at St Kilda during a significant rebuilding phase that also netted the club future champions Nick Riewoldt and Justin Koschitzke. A solidly built inside midfielder, Beetham was known for his physical strength and ability to win the hard ball in traffic, traits that saw him play regular senior football throughout his first two seasons. However, despite earning a Rising Star nomination in 2001, he struggled to adapt to the increasing speed of the game and faced persistent scrutiny regarding his disposal efficiency. After falling out of favour under coach Grant Thomas and managing just two appearances in the 2002 season, the former top-10 pick was delisted at just 20 years of age, ending his AFL career prematurely.
