Bio
A recruit from the Maryborough Football Club, Cecil Kerr wasted little time establishing himself as a fixture in the Fitzroy lineup of the late 1920s. He played primarily on the wing, where his consistency saw him miss only a handful of matches across four competitive seasons at the Brunswick Street Oval. While he proved himself a capable VFL footballer with 64 games to his name, the pull of the country proved too strong, and he left the league at just 22 years of age. Kerr ultimately returned to the Ballarat Football League, where he served as captain-coach of his home club, cementing his status as a leading figure in regional football.
