Bio
Originally from Halls Creek in the remote Kimberley region of Western Australia, Cedric Cox moved across the country to play for the North Ballarat Rebels, a bold pathway that saw him selected by Brisbane with pick 24 in the 2016 National Draft. A dashing half-back and winger, Cox was renowned for his elite speed, agility, and dual-sided kicking skills, offering distinct flair and run-and-carry out of defence. Despite showing flashes of his potential, he struggled to find consistency or cement a regular spot in the Lions' senior side, managing just 13 appearances over four seasons as the club began its ascent up the ladder. Citing a desire to be closer to family, he was traded to West Coast at the end of 2020 but was unable to break into the Eagles' lineup, leaving the AFL system after one season on their list to return to state-league football.
