Bio
Recruited from Semaphore Central in South Australia, Cedric MacLeod was a wingman who arrived at Punt Road during the Tigers' powerhouse era of the early 1920s. With Richmond arguably at the peak of its powers following premierships in 1920 and 1921, breaking into the senior lineup was a formidable task for the interstate recruit. MacLeod managed just two senior appearances in the yellow and black—consecutive matches against Collingwood and Essendon in early 1923—before finding himself squeezed out of the side. Unable to cement a permanent spot in the elite squad, he crossed to the VFA mid-season, where he went on to forge a more substantial state-league career with Footscray and later Prahran.
