Bio
Recruited from Subiaco via the rookie list, Chad Fletcher developed into a vital component of West Coast's dominant midfield brigade of the mid-2000s. While often overshadowed by the high-profile trio of Ben Cousins, Chris Judd, and Daniel Kerr, Fletcher was an elite ball-winner in his own right, renowned for his tireless running capacity and ability to link play across the ground. His accumulation of disposals was prolific, peaking in 2004 when he earned All-Australian honours and finished second in the club's best and fairest count.
Fletcher was a mainstay during the Eagles' most successful era, playing in both the 2005 Grand Final loss and the 2006 Premiership victory. As the decade wore on, he provided veteran experience to a regenerating list, though his influence waned in his final seasons as the club moved toward a youth policy. He retired at the conclusion of 2009 as a one-club player and Life Member, having played 179 games and cemented his place as one of the most productive midfielders in West Coast history.
