Teams

A true journeyman of the 1920s, Charlie Anderson holds the rare distinction of representing four different League clubs in the span of just four seasons. Originally recruited from Rosedale in Gippsland, the 183cm utility made a solitary appearance for Carlton in the opening round of 1924 before crossing to South Melbourne the following year. His tenure at the Lake Oval began brightly, as he booted the only two goals of his career in his club debut against Essendon, yet he struggled to cement a regular spot in the senior lineup. Anderson obtained a mid-season clearance to Richmond in 1926 for a brief three-game stint, eventually concluding his tour of the VFL with a single match for Footscray in 1927.
