Bio
Recruited from Ascot Vale, Charlie Brown earned his opportunity with Carlton during the VFL’s formative years in 1898. He proved to be a durable inclusion for the Blues, missing just two matches in a difficult season where the club languished near the foot of the ladder. While he drifted forward to boot a solitary goal, Brown was primarily a reliable contributor who held his place in the senior lineup throughout the winter campaign. His time at Princes Park was ultimately fleeting, as he departed the league following the conclusion of his single season at the top level.
