Bio
Recruited from Stawell in the Wimmera, Charlie Fowler was a mature-age addition to the Geelong list for the 1928 season. Making his debut at 26 years of age, Fowler proved to be a capable avenue to goal, booting seven majors across his five senior appearances. Despite maintaining a healthy scoring average, he found it difficult to hold his place in a competitive Geelong lineup that played finals that year, drifting in and out of the side between May and August. His VFL career was ultimately brief, comprised of just that single season before he moved on from the top level.
