Stats
Bio
A skilled and scrupulously fair defender recruited from Warracknabeal, Charlie Parsons wasted little time establishing himself in the Carlton backline upon his arrival in 1929. He barely missed a game during his two seasons at Princes Park, holding down a flank in defence for a strong Blues outfit that finished as minor premiers and Grand Finalists in his debut year. While his VFL tenure was relatively brief, Parsons proved his quality across the country, departing Victoria to forge a successful career with Sturt in the SANFL and later Claremont in the WAFL, making him one of the few journeymen of the era to compete at the highest level in three different states.
