Chas Woodward

Chas Woodward is a versatile prospect who has featured as a general defender, wingman and midfielder for the Northern Knights. A product of Montmorency, he has already gained senior experience with his community club, continuing a strong local family connection alongside his father, former coach Grant, and older brother Jake. Woodward's consistent draft-year form in the Coates Talent League was rewarded with an invitation to the Victorian state draft combine. He impressed recruiters during the athletic testing, securing top-five finishes in both the 20-metre sprint and the agility test.

On the field, Woodward plays a quintessential outside role, providing width and using his leg speed to blaze a path forward. Scouts have highlighted his ability to receive the ball on the perimeter of stoppages and creatively drive his team inside 50. With a speedy profile suited to the modern game, he is viewed as a potential draft smokey. Woodward is widely expected to attract interest as a late national or rookie draft selection for clubs seeking a hard-running utility.
