Stats
Bio
Recruited from Torquay with pick 64 in the 1991 National Draft, Chris Barrett was a diminutive rover who made a brief but startlingly impressive cameo for Fitzroy late in the 1992 season. After breaking into the senior side for the final month of the year, Barrett saved his best football for his fourth and final AFL appearance, amassing 23 disposals and booting three goals in a dynamic display against North Melbourne at Princes Park. Despite that breakout performance suggesting a bright future at the highest level, it surprisingly proved to be his swan song in the AFL. He subsequently moved to South Australia, where he carved out a distinguished, decade-long SANFL career playing over 150 games combined for West Adelaide and the Port Adelaide Magpies.
