Bio
Recruited as a mature-age prospect from the VFL's Frankston Dolphins, Chris Bryan was an athletic ruckman and forward distinguished by his booming left-foot kick. He commenced his AFL journey with Carlton, where he displayed potential over two seasons but could not secure a permanent position in the starting lineup. After being delisted by the Blues, Bryan was handed a lifeline by arch-rivals Collingwood in the 2007 Pre-Season Draft, crossing the divide to add depth to the Magpies' ruck division. During his time in black and white, he served primarily as a support to Josh Fraser and a tall target in attack, notably featuring in the club's 2007 finals campaign. Despite his natural athleticism and long kicking ability, he struggled to deliver consistent performances and was ultimately delisted following the 2009 season.
